6 years about six years now so I'm currently a school resource officer at Glacier Point let me see I have a current a couple of working Patrol I have a couple of collateral duties collateral duties with the Department our duties to wear this is my main role is a sorrow but I have other job that I can do if need be my current collateral duty is to be a the technician on our mobile command center on mobile command center is like a Bestway can put it it's a it's a way for the for a special incidents such as like the officer-involved shootings or major disasters things of that nature for Command Staff have a place to get to be able to broadcast to other officers seen to be able to meet to be able to watch video what's going on to check the news what's going on reporting about the news to even give major briefings with video and things of that nature on the technician that kind of that's a big old trailer and everything else I'm also drone training for the Department I think that all I'm also wanted to take now technician II was we went from an we have a sport Rider and we have a cat a cat system cat is computer-aided dispatch system and we just switched from those Department had one they had for like about 30 years they were running with and we just switched to an so the guy that make our body camera now we use their report writing system and we use their their cat system their report running system and keys are approximately 6 years old no 5 years oh give me when I came on the road with a lot of their technicians to set it up they had a bunch of questions so I drove them around so technically I put the department I am a cat and Report ranking expert when it comes to accept and that it is that's about it that's what that's that's my my current roles and duties now sorry I'm actually working right now so I accepted I get text messages and everything pause that that's all that is so following the guy that was King I sent me I am this is kind of confusing am I was raised by my mother me and my sister will we actually from Merced California which is not too far from Fresno I play sports ran track does that type of thing I left there with the school in Arizona move back to Fresno because Mercedes too small I worked in banking that was my original goal was to be a banker at work for Wells Fargo Bank of the Sierra Chase Bank I love banking I love the money the numbers always seem to work it was pretty cool but the sales aspect of it I didn't care for it too much selling trying to sign people up for stuff so I get a better pay just really bothered me for assuming they didn't need it but you're push to do so will it bother me something and that's what I was going to do and then I don't know you guys might find might be too young but there was an incident back East where a a man was shot by police officer back he's going to cost of a big ol riot at down south and I was and it was just it was more tension between the police department in the black community at the time I've seen that I was like I'm determined to to go ahead and and enjoy law enforcement I talk to my mom about it my mama had some you always want to do go for it and so I got to do so I went to go with CHP Highway Patrol and I couldn't get in I'm so it just like I failed the physical test and I was working out too hard they have stated that it's me open book I'll tell you the truth they say that my I want you to twist was too recent and that's why they told me I couldn't go and I said okay and so I kind of gave up on it for a little bit cuz she's working baking and I tried on to get on with the Fresno Police have a good day and I got on I really want to get on the phone with someone that would pay for me to go through the academy because I was getting married and and he still needs to work and so I got on with a Fresno PD as a Cadet and I was getting it for 3 months working Patrol taking taking calls for crimes were no suspect was either identified or was involved so such as like bird read car accident things of that nature where object I can't I couldn't get harmed that was a big thing and so yeah and then I went and I buy when I join join the cadets at work for 3 months to get that before I was sent to the academy and your Cadet they they test you on your physical ability as well as your knowledge as far as what you're learning to see if you're ready to go and you're mature enough couldn't sponsor the academy went to the academy I did six months the academy some mostly day classes some night classes and you learn from everything from arrest control to you go over your limit things that you already you probably already going to go over like give you the right that really plays a big part in in my job everyday I'm so going over that way like the fourth amendment search and seizure diving into it what what considered illegal search illegal search we did that some marching and lot of running lot of running but we that's what we did and then after that I graduated and I was able to I was sworn in as an officer after being asked I did there's a three phases that we do I was present Police Department that's first phase second phase third phase and in their solo face and sold his 2 weeks where first days is 5 Seconds is 5/3 days is 4 weeks and solid phases two weeks and then you just riding with someone so the first day's your you don't know anything, so you just graduated from the academy you're riding with someone and someone will be holding your hand and telling you what like I'll pull this car over because of that sweet pull the car over right and then you're conducting a nap every time you're you're breathing about it you're talkin about it what you did wrong with you to write what you can do better they're correcting the reports thing what you need to do what you did wrong what you did and they're trying to make sure you you you are the other police officer we continue this do that space the second phase the fto the field training officer take a step back a little bit if he's not telling you what to is there to advise you in and to guide you and so it's on you to pull that car over he like ya need to pull call overnight okay want to go find a car pulled over and then I need articulate why I'm pulling the car right things of that nature Third Base little different either way he stopped back a whole lot more and he's an innocent in this time he's okay look up just roll I'm here to help if you had if you need help I'm going to stop from making mistakes but let's go let's see let's see what happens right and it didn't I hate and I noticed you didn't do you didn't pull any Vehicles over and I saw six or seven you could have stopped for more control and you getting stopped at my. Right now, question no Indian solo phase is there sometime during playing cold sometimes and not but they don't say anything there is there is no there is no correction there is no there's nothing like that you're solo officer and there's a deserving that's a little daunting but the scariest is when they said no you're good to go you're ready to go and be on your own here's the keys who's your birthday by yourself go that is a scary day cuz then you don't know what to do where to go what should you do if you scared you looking around that type of thing but one thing you're you're on your own and you're you're you're working and that's a newly starting Patrol I mean you have started Patrol you have to do it you have to do a year-and-a-half in Patrol solo before apply for any other unit in in the in the department until I did Patrol for 4 years before I even before I came to Albion Sr Road my current Duties are a mixed bag here, made my main job is outside to keep the Captain's Cap at campus safe that's from outside threats are inside threat that's my main job job is to be a mentor to kids right is to make contact and try to my best to to put a friendly face on right built a lot of people have there or their own beliefs about police officers whether that's from prior experience or what they see on the news or what they hear from other people so when I'm able to talk to people on a day-to-day basis and they get to know me it it helps there is a student didn't like the police because I should really like our door in three times looking for a father she like that and she would give the police and everything else she got to know me and she's like that you're different than what I expected guy but I need you understand you know your dad had done some things and they were looking for him and that's just what it was she was no I didn't understand at the time I understand that now and please different than I was my biggest I don't want anybody to be so scared of me that they won't come for help if they need help and I get it some people don't like the police and that's fine right I didn't like the police when I was younger I didn't care for him. Something rude I've had some bad experiences before I became a cop that's some good experiences to we got into a car accident when I was younger I really bad car accident and my mom was unconscious my aunt was in the front seat had hit her head against the windshield she couldn't move I was being a kid and I where am I bounced around a little bit and have nots on my head and I was so afraid that my mother was going to die I didn't know what to do safety officer opens the door takes me up holds me I like a father would hold the any child and walks into his card tells me I'm going to be okay tell your mom my mom's going to be okay gets me a stuffed animal right that I held onto for years I don't know where it is now but I can do 4 years and that memory of stuff with because I was reassured by someone coming to the scene and making sure that I was okay that made it that made a difference in a situation without my mother with that you know and luckily you just unconscious and so being able to being able to go ahead and and have that have that ability to make that impression on someone that young it is it's a right I can I can make these people think different about us or hate us they still my interactions and so trying to be that positive role model is is my main goal here on the campus don't give your don't get me wrong I will I have made arrests on campus Because I had no choice right nothing they broke the law but my main my main goal is not that my main goal is to be like today in a minute or two and it to help out anyway that I can I give an aspect of someone has and helping my deter from doing bad things in life because of their environment but because there's another way they could go that's my that's my my main goal I think I answered all the questions in there what it was my first we just going through but looking to be in law enforcement I would always say that you're looking to be a law enforcement couple of things rice recipe for younger younger generation first things first dog demanding crimes cuz you know that's going to deter you second watch your social media post like seriously like look social media post one of the backup so when you go into law enforcement first thing you do with your background check so before I became of the dead it is a background check do you dive want to make sure he's good they asked me for my they ask me for my seasonings for all my social media even now as an officer my social media can get me in trouble as an all right Indiana typos or any of nature and so that's something that I don't think that your generation really thinks about right I think they've I post something I posted whatever it's it's it's it's social media but it doesn't go away and it stays there and it could be look back back then that can be a problem for you going for it other than that stay in good shape right cuz that's the biggest thing right stay in good shape be ready to run and biggest thing also learn to talk to people in the sense of having a a conversation and being able to hold a conversation and being able to articulate well in your writings no matter how much fun I have in my job I mean from the time if we're if you're in the car chase that turns out that turns into a lake Bell and turns me hopping fences and kick in the door I guarantee you I to explain so much it is so my paperwork for the moon with a more fun I have the more before I have to write to explain why I did what I did anytime that I'm driving with lights lights and Sirens call a code 3 and we're driving right I've got to explain why I did that I've got you if I if I if I chasing somebody I can explain why I'm chasing them if I kick the door in explain why I kick the door in right if I if I tackle Somebody explain why attacking them if they get injured at the detail their injuries and turned articulate how they view themselves if I can ask if I can write it's it's it's it's a lot it is it is a lot less important we were told to clear out a park radio park at night right park shut down at 10 they want to clear it out because what happened was we had a lot of transient people hanging out I'm doing drugs and alcohol bottles in the playground that's not safe for kids right and so we will be wanted to clear out a night so I talked to a guy and asked him to leave he refused to leave he act like he was sleeping for easily by walking mop my hey man you got to go he refused to leave if you sleep well that one is trespassing and it's all okay we'll find since you're trespassing come over here I'm going to get you so I can get you out of here and send you on your way well I'll hook him up so I put him in handcuffs as a walk in car he decides to take a swing at me with his elbow because he took a swing at me with his elbow as well I immediately took him to the ground right over my shoulder went and his momentum took him to the ground just bring the wood chips he got a small cut very small I mean I mean so small all I needed was a Band-Aid but because he got cut and taken to the hospital so we had to go to the hospital where the way to be seen right and then I have to deal yeah that is a use-of-force so I had to detail in my report exactly what happened why I did what I did what I believe is going to happen if I didn't do it and what the outcome was all because can I take him to the ground now he already has it been know what you hadn't been like take me to grab that okay I quit I'm done I'll do whatever I would have to get to her today but because he got the injury I don't mind you a Band-Aid I had to detail in indeed had to go and write a report in detail I can throw in the elbow right but my actions were why I did what I did what I did after that and articulate just it's just They just added a whole another page of the report for a simple and took me 45 hours of the night because of the Bush, that's why I didn't want to but that's why I didn't want to get in the car but that was different story but yeah so what we're also learning with new officers coming in is that they can't write really and I know it sounds weird but really be able to detail or what's going on not being able to talk to people is always a big thing and if you're going to be a police officer if you had the understanding that the biggest thing I've they beat the understand you're dealing in the City of Fresno we have several different cultures that are here right and that can go from there with the neighborhood to who you talk to and if and things are different I'm so like I'll show up to a call and 1/2 level up a group of people who are just there their they're hey what's what's going on what's up what's what's the issue I don't like the way the office okay okay how about this I will go and make sure that that young man is okay we'll make sure everything's all right I will call I will make sure I call his mama and make sure his mama what is okay I need y'all to stay over here and calm down, nobody else to go to jail articulating an M lady I'm going to allow party calls right and people are upset so loud and everything else okay yeah alright well it's 7 not 10 yet I will when I talk to him hey and send you guys a lot will it's it's you know it's my daughter's quinceanera okay no problem can you do me a favor yet the music is kind of loud can we turn it down just a little bit and attend you got shut down we can do that we can do that hey I turn sixteen once let's go ahead and let it let it let it slide then turn the music down a little bit at 10 going to shut down if I had to come back into the prom and they know it is that okay that will work and be able to articulate and get some get given go is really big in in this job and not coming in with a heavy hand and I'm the law so you're going to do what I tell you to do now there's there's there's no reason that you can really talk to him talk to people and everything else going wrong there's there's some criminals who like I'm not going easy and you are okay that's just what it is but for the most part for your regular citizens who are just how about a little complain a little dispute you can if you can go into it with an even cool head and articulate you should be should be good to go. and I got it from the question for Miss getting so to be a police cadet you need to be at least 18 years old. I got to be 18 years old to be a police cadet and could be an officer that you have to be 21 so before they'll send you to the tell me the six months of being in the academy you have to turn 21 before you can be sworn in and that's just the the law put a couple other questions in a chat if you write them off the surface go one question was a police officer do you have a guard dog for investigations to stop robbers because I've seen police officers have dogs for investigations and some police officers don't have dogs why that part and then why'd you give tickets if they don't commit any crime so citations I guess I guess let me answer the first question about the dogs so simple as that show with are you are garment would you have a K9 unit right and I believe we have 7 dogs right now we use Bella Belgian malawa we don't use a German Shepherds Belgian Malinois every person has a dog you have to be trained with the dog and everything else again using a dog so before us there are there are several different types of force right there's less lethal force and I hate that term but if it is the best way to describe it so like a taser is considered a less lethal form of force of a tan and Cassandra Leslie do a bean background from a shotgun consider less lethal those are next one with just one type of force and then obviously using a firearm or or shotgun or rifle is considered lethal Force right so the dog is considered a less lethal four star you support still using the dog our dog can sniff out articles of clothing they can sniff out Firearms I sniff out drugs mom's things of that nature. For the most part they used to these were searching for suspect it says that run from us these are searching for a suspect also use a day left less-lethal use-of-force for for us and so with that is a small unit and 21 so is that the dog lives with the the officer so the city pays to have the kennel bill for the officer the dog stays their lives with the officer and the cars are special fill in the back of the car that can transport anybody it's just for the dog has a fever and water everything for the dogs do when they're when they're ready to go doll cops out there get to go they're highly trained and that's why not everyone has a dog inside the dogs alike what $6,000 we buying from Germany they are from Europe that's where we get the dog to like we like football and everything else like in Europe like training dogs is like a major sport for them and so we get the ones that you know aren't the top athletes but you know I can't really cut it but they're smart what's the number they telling us what was the question why would you cite somebody if they didn't truly commit any crime like major crime was a question I don't know how you want to do. But in a major crime we cite people for infractions and misdemeanors we will not site for a felony a felony is a is a arrest arrest of offense you have to be arrested right so this felony B felony misdemeanor in French okay I'm so fraction would be something like running through driving through a red light or not stopping at a stop sign that's an infraction okay Vista m is trespassing I'm refusing to leave after that would be a citation I'm trying to think of a felony is killing someone's of time before you get arrested that's an easy one but we we usually try to fight people instead of taking like for infractions you're going to get cited that's you're going to take it go about your business misdemeanor same same difference we try not to arrest for misdemeanor if it is a simple misdemeanor such as I gave my trespassing right here's your ticket is your day in court we're done we can get away that it's is a couple things one even if I take you to jail for a misdemeanor you're going to get released within a few hours I guess I mean I even a few hours I probably going to turn you around within the hour and release you the reason for you to go to the whole booking process and everything else when I take someone to jail it takes me off the street for an hour to probably three hours depending on how how backed up the jail is in processing somebody so if I can cite some scratch to take it out inside someone and keep going and being on the street that's what we all would rather pleased I was to be on the street to be stuck at in the van jail trying to process things and everything else so a pizza if it's a lower level crime a citation is usually the way we're going to go perfect thank you so another question I had it says going back to the social media part if you lie on a social media check and say don't have any what are the repercussions well you're doing a back can you lie and say you don't have a social media we can prove it I give it to you you're done cuz if you're going to lie about that you wouldn't lie about other things and there's no reason so one day my being a police officer if this thing called a Brady list right is it ever but you lied in a report and you lied on the stand your put on this list call to braidless meaning this list is for Diaz and public defenders to have once you're on that list there's no reason for you to go to court because all they going to say is you're on the bracelet so why would you believe anything because you lied before at that time you're pretty useless as a cop because all you have is your word in your investigation any investigation you're apart of they're going to think you're lying and that the beans I don't care if you got it on video you're lying and there's no reason for you to testify. take me to come if you're caught lying on the bailiffs there's really no reason for you to be a cop anymore thank you I have a comment from student saying I saw once that you can adopt dogs that failed the police training because they were too finally do you know if there's any truth behind that I'm not sure about that I'm not sure what the process is if a dog fails beliefs training cuz they're too friendly these dolls are all the way they train the dogs went out the window Cadet average around the canine the lot all these dogs are friendly all they want to do is play answer the way they trick the weight of their train is a believe that when they were released and they're told to go and bite somebody you think I'm playing a game these dogs really think they are playing a game at the dogs and we get our trained very well to the okay we're playing a game they get rewarded when they find things they get rewarded in train when they when they do good and make it bite to make the correct do the correct things right and so late they think this whole thing's a game until they they really don't fill out too much dogs that do retire or you lie adopted out but you lie to police officers keep them but that's about it I've never heard of a dog not making it because they were too friendly IDs dolls come in here and they are extremely friendly there until they get the command to to bite somebody they're like hanging out and and that's it I said okay smart questions you may have answered this before but how long does it take for you to become to be in law enforcement in from agency to agency so take us for example in college in California there's a six-month Police Academy that's it 6 months or you can do the night Academy which is a year that's just depends on how you do the academy after that it's up to each agency how long the training process here ours is if you go do and don't need any more remedial training right it's going to be 5:10 I'm sorry it's 15 weeks total so it's five of the first five for the second 3 1/3 + 2 and solo so 15 total weeks of training and then you're relieved at that point and right when I say you're released right and you're good to go the best way I can put it is that you are still not ready you are still not ready for every call you're about to get right what you are competent enough as an officer to know how to get the I know how to get you the answers that you need know how to find find your user resources to get help and leave denature I can tell you it takes you about 5:45 years before you are ready to go any call that comes my way I'm ready to handle I mean I was freaked out every time I got in the car for the first 2 months like oh my God don't mess up don't mess up don't mess up and I was really scared but it take another agency like LAPD you ride with somebody year before you released by yourself or a whole year so I messaged your training process soap it depends on each each department some departments you ride for a couple weeks and it's out there so still back to the social media again are there any legal repercussions for lying on that submitting saying you didn't you just wouldn't get the job you're saying you're going to get yourself a job application you just don't you don't meet the requirements thank you the next part from a different student is he post something bad when you're like 14 is that going to taunt them forever why did they believe it really does depend depends on what you posted I mean you can't so every time I go out right I'm the face of the department when people see me I represent the Fresno Police Department that's just what it is I'm so me so in social media we say things sometimes that are inappropriate right or we comment or we like something of that nature and the question is some I want to hire somebody that you can made inappropriate comment or join inappropriate, I should have known better I am a kid and it might take a chance on you with that then again right is it apartment but you got to realize the harm is having a dino say my head right now with we don't want to take the risk right those are things you can use got to think about and that's why I'm posting everything you got to think before you post okay perfect, next is what's the day detaining someone and arresting somebody so I can detain someone and if I if I if I believe that they are if I'm investigating a crime leader of all right so if Cason point right now so robbery somebody just robbed a store and the call comes out and he hopped in a black four-door Dodge Charger right as I'm heading towards it I see a black four-door Dodge Charger drive by and they said hey it's two two males I didn't get a good look at him is to Mel's that they were in the car okay no problem so I stopped the car right as soon as my red and red and blue lights come on that car is to take right now are they detain in the sense of there and ankles and back of my vehicle no but they are to paint and said that they take off now we have now they get that belliard failure to yield and now they commit a crime they at that point they are dirty and so since they are detained I can pull a guy I can talk to identify if I believe the base on getting more information from officers if they say they're wearing blue jackets that said Central online homeschool and they wearing Blue Jackets if they Central online homeschool what I pulled him out of the car I'm detaining them cuz he's committed a felony robbery right you're still not under arrest I have no I don't have enough to say that they did it what I have is that these two are the teams that are matching the description right as I'm holding them and we'll get a witness out there hopefully get more evidence is that okay yeah these are the duties of the suspects now we can arrest them open answer the question thank you see you more question sorry officer Briscoe I think something's were unclear if you had to go to college before starting the academy to the two go to the academy some departments may have different requirements I don't think anybody's going to be before you can join so you have to have a college degree it might be in the future but I don't think so now he be a sergeant you don't have to have a college degree to be Lieutenant you don't have a college degree to be a captain or Deputy Chief or chief you do police department in my change from an apartment apartment a point and then another question is what kind of where do you get when you first become an officer so for the most part right this is you lie all my gear right what we get normally what is a belt that goes around right now you get your firearm you get to magazines you get a body camera you get a radio what you have here I can get the taser obviously you get your badge you get one pair of handcuffs and two handcuff keys for that you get a set of keys one for the department and one to access all the fire although the fire boxes so you can talk apartments and building things of that nature make it real certain gates in the city you get a tourniquet and you get a baton and you get o c spray or pepper squares you can call it later on your issue a rifle and your issue to Rifle magazines let me see you are issued riot gear which is it yeah we did Lily just a helmet guess you did a a vest of a bulletproof vest soft best not the not the outer carrier but the in the inner carrier and then you are issued a I'm sorry reflective vest for Traffic Control and those are what you were those are things that you are issued that's it if you want anything else you got to get your stuff yet to buy your own uniform buying your own boots things of those nature but I believe oh and your ID that helps you get into the engine ID and a concealed carry ID so you can carry off duty and then you are issued a an ID that allows you in the city hall and to all the Fresno Police awesome thank you next question is if you've been arrested as a kid and sent to juvenile hall can you still become an officer when you're an adult most juvenile records are sealed Once you turn a certain age they should be okay but it will be it will depend on what the crime was and then another question about social media what if you delete your account and make a new one social media does not go away it stays there right it stays there so when I went again when I went in there after my social medias they should ask for my social media pages and that's it as they were going further their look into a few people on social media and ask him to unlock it so they can look through it I do believe that because social media is so prevalent and it comes back. I believe in the future probably not anytime soon the next 10-15 years they will be doing they will have you sign something and then they will contact eat social media and ask for anything that was ever under your name birthday cakes and then are you how to do the fitness test no matter what job you pick when it comes to the police department know the fitness test is only for officers if you want to get officer or Cadet yes you got to the fitness in the Oz dispatch records dispatch Records property crime scene investigators come out take pictures things that nature okay let's say I want to become a detective or FBI agent or something else in law enforcement field do I have to become a police officer first so each each law enforcement entity has their own rules for them for them joining the FBI you don't need to be a police officer first at all US Marshals know everything that you were doing lawn forcement at h places please just one of low of a mini you don't have to join themselves first now and then he's getting detained on your permanent record no doesn't doesn't pop up at all know it's in there that you were detained but that's it and somebody as you write a report or reason why I detain the person and we want but that's it it doesn't doesn't go down a record everything that nature sorry if this is a repeated question but if you stay, nandor post something bad but over time your social medias out of turns pure and the Purity is available to be seen are you let go go on what you did before or no I think I think you take it you take you take everything in the totality right you said something that you shouldn't say when he was younger but we can see a change right you can articulate that right I think you'll be okay with that just just it just depends and then another question is how much is the axon body camera worth yeah I don't know that I don't know I don't know I don't know an answer I don't I don't let you read out to me we get up and something happens I get back to him to give me another one I don't I don't I don't know how much it how much it cost has the body can change the way that policing happens in Fresno do you think or it's in the country in general having addition to say yes I've had so when I first got on with it they were just rolling out the body cameras and so the body cameras were not able to give out to everybody when I first got on I went about a year before I had a body camera and so very much we go to a call and we believe that there this place is running a chop shop we make it will knock on the door make contact with a woman that's inside and we we also get a call that there's two kids inside not being fair things of that nature to things that were trying or trying to accomplish here so I am following her hey are we going to do is going to come in because the kids are okay make sure you got stuff that you posed to happen act like food running water electricity make sure they got close to that nature ever get out of your hair good to go right all I want to do she said sure no problem I didn't have a body camera on my partner who was on the call with me he came up he came up and he started talking to her and I guess she didn't like the way he was talking and everything else until she denied is going into the house will when I wrote my report I said we had permission to go into the house nothing like that we're going to welfare check we're always going to go in when I wrote my report I stated that she had given me permission well after reviewing the body camera Reynaldo reports the DEA decided it was a Chop Shop was down the engine they decide not to press charges due to the fact that they felt it I lied on my report I'm saying that she gave me permission my started called me and he's like hey what was going on I like she gave me permission I didn't pass it and then she talked to the other officer but she gave me permission to have body Cam and because I didn't have a body cam there's no way to prove that she gave me permission and no way to prove that she didn't give me permission so I got lucky there that I was I need trouble but I had to hide the body cam they would have been able to see no she didn't give officer Briscoe permission and then denied permission to the other officer that would have made it easier and then and there to Mabel articulate in the in the in the in the prosecution of the case because I didn't have that there was an issue body cam comes in heavily we took a friend of mine took another officer took a guy to Jail the guy was really really drunk and the guy tries to run from the officer when he does he trips over he tripped over a pole that sitting in the jail yellow boy can't miss it because he was drunk he missed it he tripped when head first and hit his head on the pavement he was knocked out later claim excessive use of force in at the ostrich threw him to the ground well the officer had a body camera the entire time and you can see with a is a year on July 8th when I came out as I was coming out of the 30 second delay on Mike our camera so the thirty-second delay on the camera so I had the camera pops up boom you see it right as I was able to come up it caught most they caught most of the guy running tripping hitting the ground right and to that that say that officer I believe we have could someone be tracked if they make a bad decision on social media with an anonymous account there's no such thing as an anonymous account if someone says something they shouldn't we just they can be tracked so we can couple of things depending on how bad it is right we get a court order we contact the social media company that gives all the information for that user we get IP addresses right and information has been posted before IP address the person's name is supposed to only account that the phone number attached easy of that we all information and then we go from there so yeah and that you can't not not so much traffic is like falling you where you're going through that Niger but you can't be it can't be traced back to you yes thank you so moral of the story kids social media it's there forever can be tracked there's anything you do it stays there forever even if you delete your account use a different email for your account it's linked to you like they're that social media companies are holding this for police officers are not the hole is for their own private use we just get a warrant and take it from them the social media company is on their own and keeping in tracking all this information that's that's what they're doing I we just happened to know that they're they haven't get a warrant to go get it that's it you have a question student says I was in a I was in a car five car crash what I believe was an officer off-duty police officer my question is was that officer still obligated to do a full police report as to what happened and or assist the other officers to find the driver who caused the crash the officer is off duty at that point he is and he's involved in the crash right whether if he's the one that caused it or is a victim he's out he's done because he is personally involved he is out of the of the investigation process Eagan Eagan participate as being a witness and giving information that needs to give but hard to investigate you go see that thank you and it said King you had a couple questions I can't go back that far I don't see it but are there it is I think I was just asking kind of what may be just as we wrap it that officer was there like what would you say is been your biggest surprise in the police officer was something that you when you came into the job you didn't expect that is just took you off guard but that that now you recognize and appreciate her something along those lines what did you not expect I guess so for me it's it is kind of weird so for me the thing that the horrible things that we see don't bother me on a day-to-day level they don't write I'm going to leave work at work and did not take it home and are you allowed to carry to carry with me I needed to separate it and that's just because I think I'm pretty good to go ahead I don't know this person did everything I could and I'm able to move on they add that best of my ability I have three kids here across the street and if you don't know where Glacier Point is it's it's it's almost a used to be the the country and now it's a city in encroaching on the country so it's it's mixing yet and are treated pretty busy but doesn't stop lights and stop signs and there's no crosswalk for the kids and so they cross the street and we're looking over there by car I was worried that way I'm really afraid they're going to get hit and I've seen people almost get hit by cars to people get hit by cars the difference is I know these kids I know their friend of their faces and of the names of the parents and if I did everything I could and couldn't save them that would hurt being here at the school I have to fill up an attachment to the kids here and if something happened to them and so that I think that's the biggest thing for me than the attachment that I have developed working here at the school it's not something that I don't think I'll ever Shake I will never forget these kids faces I'll never forget the students like don't commit no crimes in the future don't because a vol comes out with your face I'm with my I know exactly what that is so don't don't do that I'm good I'm great with faces and so I'd that's that's my busy I didn't I didn't realize the attached I would have to the kids here at the school on a day-to-day basis and how much that would affect me and he wants to know how Glacier Point is without him is quiet is quiet without
